This film was made as part of the NorthernNet 4 Hour Film Challenge, produced by Magic If Ltd, sponsored by NorthernNet and supported by Northern Film and Media.  On The Waterfront was given a ‘Special Mention’ by the judges.  It has since been selected to be shown on the big screen at Glastonbury Festival by the BBC and the Arts Council. 

The challenge took place in 3 cities simultaneously, Newcastle, Leeds and Liverpool on Sunday 11th April 2010. 15 Teams of Guerrilla Film Makers and 30 Actors had just 4 hours to make their films. At noon they were given the title of a famous film and had to conceive, script, shoot, edit and deliver their film by 4pm for screening to cinema audiences that evening.
